Does anyone have a pinout of a Missile Command transformer (from the bottom of the cabinet)... mine is shot and I have no schematics... My buddy told me we could probably wire in one that I have from a Pole Position (plugs wont match though)
But I would need to know what pin puts out what... can anyone help?

That's actually not right. flynn's got an Upright, and the upright Missile Commands had a different transformer than the cabaret/cocktail/sit-down versions. He needs the information from the upright schematic package. If anyone knows of a scan of the upright schematics, do tell, because I haven't been able to find them on-line either.

I know he's got an upright because when he first posted pics of his transformer, I thought he'd be able to use the spare cocktail transformer that I have. Sadly, he can't.

flynn - if you get stuck, try to find the schematics for the A/R II board (that might have been the same with later systems) and work back from there to discover the pinouts for the transformer block.

Good luck!

I have the whole manual but it only shows the cabaret and sitdown versions of the power supply. Odd!

There were multiple manuals and schematic sets (the schematics were separate from the manuals). You've got the cabaret/sit-down schematic.

Manuals:
TM-147 - upright
TM-152 - cocktail
TM-158 - cabaret
TM-162 - cockpit

All of these can be found in PDF form via Google.

There were also schematic packages:
DP-147 - upright missile command
DP-152 - cocktail missile command
DP-158 - cabaret & sit-down (cockpit) missile command.

I base this list on the list at http://arcarc.xmission.com/Faqs/Atari manual list.txt.

I've found everything EXCEPT DP-147 scanned and available as a PDF. Unfortunately, what flynn needs is in fact DP-147.

hmmm this is a frustrating one.... but I really appreciate everyone helping on this

I'm actually quite surprised - it seems like folks have scanned damn near everything else, but this one drawing package seems to be missing.

Does anyone out there have these schematics in hand? Even if you can't scan the whole thing, can you perhaps scan or take a picture of the transformer block?

The MC power assembly is common to quite a few other Atari games. If you're looking for a replacement, try:

Sprint 4
Video Pinball
Avalanche
Ultra Tank
Subs
Destroyer
Basketball
Canyon Bomber
Monte Carlo
Super Breakout

Here's a link to the Basketball manual -
http://www.cityofberwyn.com/manuals/Basketball.pdf

-see page 27 for power assembly wiring diagram which is identical to that found in the MC upright.
