I wired up the MC cocktail I was restoring for a friend's Christmas gift to my DK CT and although the colors were all wrong (expected) it was rock solid - is there any other suitable replacement for the TM157 in MC CT - I can't find replacement parts for this monitor on short notice and was hoping to have an option to get a non rolling picture (not prior to Christmas - impossible at this point) in Q1 2010. I hate this monitor has absolutely minimal burn and a super clean bright picture, but just won't stop rolling, stopping, rolling etc.

I reflowed the solder points all over the chassis and especially in the sync section which is marked clearly in the docs and on the board, and did a complete cap kit, and replaced the vertical adjustment pot.

Still no joy - and not help finding parts in the monitor repair or WTB thread.

Any help you guys and gals could give would be greatly appreciated. I can build a conversion harness or rewire the connectors to another monitor but I don't want to use a Nintendo Sanyo due to the voltage issue.

If anyone has a chassis board for this monitor (TM157) or wants to sell a suitable replacement monitor please PM me - and Merry Christmas all - hope everyone has a great holiday season.

Great! Anyone have one for sale????? The wiring looks extremely basic. RGB, power and sync (combined H\V sync). It's not the TYPE but the SIZE bugging me. I have 2 spare working 19" monitors here. I suppose I could chop the cabinet but I don't want to. Although playing Missile Command on a 19" CT might be cool....

Has anyone used one of these digital monitors with the onscreen adjustments?

If it would work it might be the way to go.

I've used it for other games, and it worked fine. Just know that you don't connect the vertical sync when using negative composite sync...

I did this a few years ago...used a 13" WG which works great but I had to modify (cut) the lower frame mounts because the interfered with the wood frame area. You will see when you try to mount it what needs to be modified. Check out the pics I attached and you will see the trimed metal frame.

All, we ordered the WG digital 13" monitor - how do you wire the sync?

Wire only into the H sync?

if it's composite negative sync, then only connect the negative horizontal sync, otherwise it will roll all the time and won't adjust out...

Thanks Mod - here's the problem - and what's causing me confusion - the Sanyo does have composite sync.

The new Wells has this:

I suppose we'll just wire one, then the other, to see what happens - as long as that's not likely to damage anything?[FONT=Garamond-BookCondensed, serif]

We hit 6 first and stuck with it since it worked.

You don't fix it if it ain't broke - and it's working still. Clean, bright, steady, and thank God - I spent 2 months trying to get that whore of a Sanyo to work.

Don't get me wrong, I kept the Sanyo. You never know when parts'll show up!
