Our friend Dewman loaned us his Missile Command cockpit for the museum. We've noticed something odd and I'm looking to the collector community for some input. The backglass on the cabinet appears to be missing the yellow portion of the screening as seen in this photo:

When installed on the game, it obviously does not look correct:

Was there another yellow plexi that went under this or is this a piece that slipped out of the factory without having the yellow screened onto it?

Thanks,
Gary

I have a MC cockpit plexi I picked up over the years and it also is missing a color.. I don't think I sold it.. I had a pic of it. If I can find it I will upload it.

It was not a separate piece. Yours is missing the yellow. My game has the yellow present.

Hi Joe,
Thank you. I wonder who fell asleep on the assembly line and let this one out the door with no yellow? You can see right inside the cabinet and it is worse with the light on!

Thanks,
Gary

It's missing the white and the yellow. You shouldn't be able to see through the blue. The white would have made all the colors opaque and not see though like the one we have.

I think if you put a layer of yellow paint on the whole back it will darken it up and look good. Trying to get all the white correctly will be a pain, I would just paint the atari logo..
