OK guys and gals here's the scoop.

Starting around 12:00am PST April 2nd 2010 we will be doing another weekend Marathon event at 'The KenCade'.

Bill Carlton - Star of High Score will once again be shooting for the Missile Command world record.

John 'The Machine' McAllister will be attempting to take down the Asteroids World Record.

Dwayne Richards will be making one more attempt at the Nibbler BILLION (live from his home up north)

Ken House will attempt to be the first person in over 25 years to score over 100 Million on Robotron, If Robotron does not hold out the backup plan is to shoot for 20 Million on the arcade classic Dig Dug (Revision 2 without a killscreen)

Many thanks to David Hernly (LordAuric) on the forums for working with us to get a much more unified setup. We will have 5 Stream going and three visible on the page. The center cam will be the KenCade cam, the end cams can be selected from the remaining 4 (Ken John Bill and Dwayne). We also have unified chat the a Java app on the page utilizing IRC. This should prove to be a nice upgrade from last years event.

The event page is http://www.aurcade.com/events/marathon.aspx

We hope to see as many people tune in as can make it, There are also quite a few gamers making the trek to support us in person.

Lets make it a great event!

-Ken

Rock on! I'll tune in while I'm playing some games tomorrow afternoon. Good luck to the gamers...

Very cool. I hope he makes sure someone is monitoring the screen at all times this time around. That was very sad. :)

Good luck to all!

I'll watch for awhile . Looks like someone is setting up right now .

I'll be watching, and Ill come by and see y'all as well. Too much snow in the mountains to ignore, but I should be back in time to hang Saturday evening..

GOOD LUCK!!!:headbang:

Looks like he got bored and gave up.

Nah. You can stack cities to give you some time to walk away and use the bathroom or take a short break, then come back and continue. The reason he lost out on his last bid was because the people helping keep track of how many cities he had stacked either miscounted or weren't paying proper attention and he ran out of cities while he was away....

HA ! So much for starting early Saturday morning , they're all sleeping .

Seriously. What's going on? Missile Command problems again? There's 2 in the arcade! Use the one with the good monitor.

So much for the 5am start! ahaha.

I don't think there are problems with the MC. It was the asteroids that needed a new monitor. Apparently they're just slow to get going.
