Missile Command: About to fire it up, what should I check on the power supply

Hey Guys,

I got my Missile Command PCB in today, and before I hook it up, I'm waiting to check the power supply to make sure all the voltages look correct before I connect the PCB.

Does anyone know a guide or know the values I should be checking on the power supply for my Missile Command?

Thanks

Ok so I've read about a "sense mod" that looks really easy to do. I'm thinking about doing that and then hooking up the board so it has load and adjusting the voltage correct?

Test the voltage on the ARII and pcb under load. There are test points on both pcbs. No need to modify the ARII with a sense mod, I rebuild 1-2 of these a week for the last year or two.. And I've never bothered with the mod. If you want to go that route, I'd leave that till the end

Yeah I ended up reading that the mod was not necessary and it needed load so I just connected the PCB, checked the voltage and it was at 4.81volts, adjusted it 5.05 I think and the game is running great!

Need to oil my rebuilt trak-ball, find a working monitor for it, clean the crap out of it, put a control panel overlay on it, and get the smoke screen/bezel for it and repair some minor wood damage and then it will be done!

:D

Congrats! You have a working ARII and pcb!!
Heh, the rest is easy

Yup I'm super excited! This is actually the only game that I own that I am truly horrible at. I stink at trak-balls.

Thinking about getting the highscore/multi-game kit for it . . . does anyone here for it? The one were you can play Missile Command and Super Missile Command on the same PCB.

Excellent!

I wanted to brag that the MC I just got had the cleanest boards I've seen in a classic. When I powered it up, I measured the +5V on the PCB, and it was exactly 5.00V on my DMM. I could not believe it.

I need to take pictures of the inside of the machine. The outside is rough and it needs a little bit of wood work and is complete missing all the pieces that go around the monitor, but the inside of the machine is basically immaculate.

I can't wait to get a new overlay on the machine.

Also does anyone know here I can locally find 3-n-1 oil for my bearings?

Thanks
