Missed out on these for free

The sad thing is that they worked when they got them from the guy that was giving them away. They will either end up out in the back yard under a tarp, or sold to someone who will MAME or 60-in-1 them.
 
thats happened to me before with a kangaroo, years ago. i gave it to someone the next day it was on CL for $80.00
 
It's obvious that someone messed with them that shouldn't have and didn't even put them back together. Pick through them for parts at rock bottom prices but it's a for sure that they won't be all complete nor will they work. If they worked, he wouldn't have taken them apart.

I called the original owner 10 minutes after he posted them and he said they all worked but that a woman had called first who said she was getting them for her 7 year-old son. I should have mentioned my soon to be 4 kids! Scammer!

Yeah stories don't match up. This must be the person that picked them up maybe for free. Or they changed their minds and sold them off and these were ones that they tinkered with. Sounds like a pile of junk and you cant test out those boards to verify now that the machines are in pieces.
 
Maybe the Original poster got so many responses they tried to turn them into cash instead.

Even if thats not the case, i dont see the huge problem, as most of us have flipped a game or 2, and i've yet to see the ad that says, Yea, I got these machines from next to nothing and now i want to turn them into $$.

I find flipping free stuff unethical if you are just getting to flip. It would be different if this person got them kept the one they wanted then sold the rest. This person is doing this right in front of all of craigslist which just makes them look like assholes.

There's no way you'd have flipped em over for free yourself at any point, so stop trying to bullshit the rest of us. It may be a year down the road or more, but if you said you would give away all 3 for nothing...you're lying through your teeth. You're simply pissed that someone beat you to the punch and is going to make money off free shit...such is life, too bad.

I do have some sand in there, but again I wouldn't have flipped them. Just don't like it. It bothers me.

There's nothing ethically wrong with "flipping".

There's something ethically wrong with flipping after you say, "I want these for my seven year old."

Nevertheless, most everyone who sells something is flipping it one way or another.

CL is full of a-holes like these, so this isnt all that diffrent. I give away random free stuff all the time on CL, and no matter what it is, i can count on about the same dozen people that respond to EVERY free ad i place with a diffrent story why they need what i have.
