....in Madera, CA by only a few hours. Looked incredible and said was shopped out. He said he was desperate for cash and needed it sold. A dude from LA got it and I guess I was next in line. I texted him and said that if he didn't show up or flaked I would be there in 30 minutes with cash in hand. I prayed hard but he showed up. That would have made my summer!

Wanna place bets that one of the Corona flippers got it? If you see a SS up for sale soon for double, you'll know who got it!

It's even worse when you miss one that's "broken" for $100 and one of those dudes lands it.

couple of weeks ago i missed out on a local CL WH2O, very clean, for $1100. yes, $1100. i was on travel on the east coast (at a meeting) when it got posted. needless to say, it was gone in a day. sigh.

SS, like Scared Stiff- right?

Maybe. But there are a couple other games that begin with SS, like Space Shuttle, Silver Slugger, or perhaps he just means SS as in Solid State. No way to be sure.

What is it with pinball guys and the acronyms! What's even funnier is when people have a list of games they own in their sigfile, but with a few missing vowels or something. Are guys that lazy that they can't even list the games they own correctly? You'd think for a sigfile you'd care a little bit - you only have to type it once.

Add me to the (incredibly small) list of pin guys that hates the abbreviations. Personally, I don't find it too taxing to tap a few extra keys on a keyboard to spell out a game's name.

I'm not a fan of it, either. I'm the kind of guy that says "iceD tea", though...

I missed out on a $1000 TAF and a $200 WW a couple of years ago .

Yeah, I don't like the pins abbreviations either and seem to only know 1/8 of them. SS is Scared Stiff. I'm sure It'll pop up on eBay or CL for $3,400 soon.

I probably would have taken out a "payday loan" for a deal like that!

LMAO! I just saw a commercial for payday loans where they suggest you could consolidate all of your payday loans into one larger payday loan! This thought is truely disturbing.

Public Service Announcement - Do not use payday loans to purchase pins.

Maybe I'll go through with that then and flip all of that "money" into a 50" plasma television from Rent-a-Center (payments over 7 years at 39% interest). Win Win!

You know I hate them too
