Minimalist Arcade Posters Week on Gameroom Junkies

Poster #5 of 5 - DRAGONS LAIR

Alright, so here's the last poster for the week - DRAGONS LAIR. I hope you guys have enjoyed the minimalist poster project. Let me know which was your favorite. I do plan on creating some more in the future, but will take a short break, so be on the lookout.

If you don't already check out www.gameroomjunkies.com or listen to our podcast, check it out, I think you'd really enjoy it. If you have an idea for an article or topic on our show, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments. I think my personal favorite is Gauntlet. I actually think I may do some minimalist pinball posters before revisiting the arcade front, but I hope to do Dig Dug, Satan's Hollow, Duck Hunt, and Street Fighter II in the next batch.

I'm surprised no one has said Donkey Kong,Galaga,or Robotron.

For arcades, what about Warlords,Q-Bert,and Time Pilot?

For pins, how about Gorgar,Whirlwind, and Black Knight?

Bump! Just posted a Brand new one for Q-bert! Check it out:http://bit.ly/nVQcLr

So I tried to get inspired with pinball ones, but I just kept coming back to the arcade front each time. Be sure to check www.gameroomjunkies.com daily. I will be posting a new one each day this week.

The Qbert one is ok, but maybe if it had an abstract purple coily off in the distance...

So I added a few more to the collection. The one I added today is Mario Bros: http://bit.ly/zEi2VK . (You can view all of the ones I've previously made here: http://gameroomjunkies.com/index.php/category/minimalist-arcade-posters/)

I really like it, but I'm actually more pleased with the one I made yesterday for Qix. It reminds me of a dark version of a Piet Mondrian painting:

I am in talks with Rich to produce these as a limited edition run of prints silkscreened on canvas. We're just going back and forth on size right now as I want to make sure what we create is a size that is big, but not too big, and allows for it to be easily framed by picking up a stock frame at Target or Walmart. Right now I will probably only run the most popular five titles in batches of 25 each, so pick your favorites.

My 5 favorites are Frogger, Pac Man, Qix, Gauntlet, and Dig Dug

Thanks for checking out my artwork, and if you want to support my site without much effort, give a click or two to the google ads whenever you visit. Thanks!
