I got a whirlpool mini fridge. was free, not sure if its working properly. My dad took it out of a house when cleaning out and brought it home so I hooked it up, currently I can hear it kick on every 5-10 minutes, it doesnt stay running except for a few minutes, im not sure what this means or if its supposed to? I just put a couple water bottles in it and will check in about an hour or so if there cold. Any input?

Mini fridges rock!

Gotta figure out what to do with mine, though... I used to have it set up in the bar I had in my living room, but took that out, and now it's on my back porch. I actually kept my mini at one of my past jobs, was awesome to keep a 2L of soda in it, amongst other things...

Pretty sure my current job won't allow.

But yeah, they kick on and off. You're good. ;)

Fridge

Refrigerators will cycle the compressor too often for a few reasons. Leaking door seal letting ambient air in. Low on refrigerant. Or there is not enough food items in it to act as a heat sink. (absorb the cold) See what it does with food in it. If it cycles more than once an hour without opening the door. You might have an issue.

yea right now theres just 4 bottles of water, on medium temp (dial says low med and max) its about once and hour. I just had it plugged in to see if it was working

nice.

Nice sounds like it is working as it shold.
and it will probably run less as you have more in it,
even loaded with cans and bottles you will see it run less but
hold the temp and run less :)
