I'll be heading back from Chicago that day, maybe I should head north, Saturday, hmmmm...

You're going to be in town and not say hello? You can stop by and grab that VBSW coin door if that's the style you need...

There is also a auction in the Chicago area that same day...

Dang Lyo...i'm in North Aurora. Small world! Where's the auction in Chicago on that weekend?

PM sent Chris,

Let's make it happen! Love to meet up with a KLOV homie!

It's in Franklin Park. Expect to be there all day (6pm to 7pm). Those guys take forever to get through an auction. I'll go and see what they have online and see if it is worth a visit. 3 Things going on that weekend: Milwaukee auction, Chicago auction, and Chicagoland Show in St Charles.

Small world4 sure

My Father used to terrorize N Aurora this time of year with his Halloween House.Think it was located on Magnolia Ave. behind Tommy O's.Well yeah,Is anyone interested in a meetup.I'm fairly normal and could use the excuse to the GF "Ohh baby I'm not getting nothing I'm just helping this guy with a bum leg load up his truck."Whats the best auction of these three to go to.I'm figuring the Chicago Land is Pheasant Run correct?I was told this brings alot of coin-op stuff not just Video Games.Im up for whatever and wherever.Lemme know. Also Im looking for buttons and joysticks to go on my Tekken Tag control panel anyone got any for sale/trade locally. Also midaswell throw these to-do projects out there, need monitor flipped/rotated from Hor. to Vert. so I can order Nixs 60-1 and did i mention I have a Tekken Tag board with no video?Im having a buddy come over Thursday to look at that for me (crosses fingers).Anyone from the Fox Valley area chime in so I can add ya as a friend for future reference.TTYL,
Matt

The Chicagoland Show doesnt have many arcade games. It is mostly advertising stuff and old old coin ops stuff. I have gone every year and only bought a slot machine. Fun to go to though as it is packed with people and cool stuff to look at. I like the guy that used to work for a jukebox manufacturer. He is old as dirt and fixes up old jukes and sells them. Never saw one cheaper then $10,000.00 from this guy!!

I will be there with woman in tow!

You can't miss an auction nowadays, cause you never know when this might be the LAST one? I'd hate to regret not attending, and then never getting to goto another one!

Franklin Park or Milwaukee?

Franklin Park being maybe 30 minutes drive or the Milwaukee 2 hour drive?Anyone have any opinions on which will be better and worth my time.I will google Franklin Park auction to get some info, but what you guys think? The good thing is if I go to F.P. I can always swing by the St. Charles one as its not to far from the house.Any info would be great and I will let yall know my outfit later as this is strictly determined by whats on top of my shirt drawer.TTYL,

Matt

The Michaelangelo Franklin Park auction should have info online before hand. Early enough to make a decision about driving up to Milwaukee or not. The Pheasant Run Show is always interesting, but not a lot of deals unless you go Friday and spend the $50 for the "preview" time.

I may go to Milwaukee this time since I haven't been there in a few years. I have about space for three more games in my garage. :) 4 If I can sell this damn 38" HDTV for $100. :D

Hmmmm

38"HDTV what that be about more info is it a TV wall mount what?Anyone around wanna carpool to Milwaukee with a stop for breakfast.Last time I went with my GF Angie and it wasnt long b4 she was like lets get the F outta and I was like damm are yo-----(wait) Ok,Honey well leave.Anyone wanna have a couple beers and help me rotate my monitor to vertical so I can get a 60-1?I might even be down to get some good "Wurst Kitchen" bratwurst to entice the deal a little.Hit me up.
Matt

Odds on a Vertical?

So what be my best odds on picking up a working vertical monitor on the cheap.I am assuming the vertical cabinet have a little more value at auction for multicade conversion reasons.I really want a 48-1 or 60-1 but am hesitant on ripping apart the one complete cabinet I have.LE has only one player(gun) working and Tekken needs a new board maybe and joysticks and buttons.Im thinking Milwaukee but damm that drive be a drag in a half especially if I cant pick up a vertical and I end up bringing home another project game.

I'll be heading there again. I think this will be about my 5th auction I've been to now. Only finally bought something at the last one. Picked up a DDR 4th solo in awesome condition, and has been working great. Hopefully get something else fun this time!

Also, if anyone heading there would like to install a cap kit on a G07, please let me know! I just got the parts, and am looking for someone to install it. I am horrible with soldering, and figure this wouldn't be the best time to learn. I'll probably start on something else and work my way up.

Ill be at the wisconsin auction , and on friday ill be in winfield and warrenville working on games. Just moved into a new warehouse in warrenville so friday will be spent messing around on the games there and going to pheasant run. Those that know me and know the games i have in my warehouse down here, lets strike up some deals as i have more stuff coming in in the next few weeks so clearing out some more games

Looking Forward to next Saturday

Looking like we'll have about 10 or so fellow KLOV'rs.Anyone bringing anything to the auction to sell in the lot?Another question for everyone is,does anyone wanna make a few bucks doing board repairs on my 2 fidgety boards?I have a Tekken Tag that used to work perfect now doesn't get video to monitor I have a felling this is something minor that got jarred outta place when I disconnected the wiring. Also I have a Lethal Enforcers that I got the 1st player working good but 2nd player has issues.I changed out the light optics in all the guns (3) but still no go.Is there a positive and negative on the prongs?I cut off the middle prong and soldered the two outer ones but didn't see if there was neg. and pos. markings this might be an issue but b4 moving them I wanna ask here because my soldering skills are lacking.I used the tested working player 1 gun in player two and still nothing that why I feel it is a loose connection on the board.A reputable person on here would be my first choice.I could deliver at SA and pay for shipping back to me and any extra you decide when you diagnose the problem.I am also looking to purchase some joysticks and buttons.Currently I need 2 8way joysticks for TEKKEN TAG and 10 colored buttons and 1P and 2P start buttons (White)I wanna save on shipping and figure some of you guys have some extras you might be willing to sell..If I can pick up a vertical cab I may need 2 4way controllers depending on what is on the vertical cabinet. If I cant pick up a vertical cabinet the Tekken Joysticks would be a nice alternative project to finish up Tekken Tag cabinet.Parts don't have to be new condition just good working condition especially 8way joysticks.Let me know what can be worked out.TTYL,
Matt
