Milwaukee auction, who's going?

As much as I don't want to give the mullets 15%, I'll be there. I have heard that an old arcade in Lake Geneva that had hundreds of games is selling them off at this one. Buyer beware though, the building had a roof issue and a fair amount of the games could have water damage, or bird shit on them.

Anyone interested in meeting up? Wondering if some KLOV unity can help with the Shill bidding that goes on.

I have no truck either but there are always people willing to cart a game for money...the last auction I bought two sizable games and for 75 bucks got them brought 20 miles away.

Then again Appleton is a haul. But if you are really interested in going you can alwyas buy a game and rent a UHaul to take them back up in. Just a thought for you.

I just got a voicemail from Fred with SA telling me they have an auction on Saturday and are accepting consignment on Friday 10-9pm...

Wish I would have answered so I could ahve asked about what they will have...oh well.

See you folks there.

I'll have a pretty large (15 person) cargo van available if someone needs a cab shuttled, I'm only planning on getting 1 cabinet and even that is up in the air depending on what they have. If someone is looking for a bar pool table or wall-mount cd jukebox and they don't get one at auction let me know, I know someone that has some to clear out and doesn't want to deal with the whole super-auctions thing.

Never mind I cant go. I have to work.

For some reason I thought I was off this Saturday.

The only thing I was looking for was a NFL Blitz or NBA Jam cab. or any 4 player type cab.

If one pops up cheap anyone willing to bring it up north for me? I will gladly pay you for the effort.

Does anyone have any extra power supplies they are willing to part with at the auction?
Looking for a couple like the attached pic

I have a happ...not sure of the model number I can get it tomorrow...Similar pin out by the looks of what you have there though.

You guys should go to this and bring a trailer or large truck .Rumor has it a company out of the la Crosse area is empting a warehouse. Part of it came up to the MN auction last weekend and wow were there classic's in the pile. Cheap prices too. Most didn't work but still many were complete and in decent condition. I picked up a Galaxian that was Minty on the inside with a factory sealed manual still. Had some board issues from corrosion but still a very nice cab for 125.00.

Not only is there the La Crosse one but one from Lake Geneva as well. Rumor is this will be one of the best SA auctions they have done.

I got a call from "Fred" reminding me of the auction and two others I know also did.

Hopefully there are some good buys...now to make space :)

I am going to see what is all there and if there is a lot of good deals to be had I may have a friend go get a UHaul truck. Just a thought.

Damn to bad I can't go.

Like I said earlier if they have a cheap 4 player cabinet at the auction.
It dosent have to work. I have a NBA Jam game looking for a cabinet.

If anyone could grab one and is coming up to the Appleton area, you would be the Man!

I'm at the point of building a cabinet if I can't find one soon. :dontknow:

My problem is I have to work during the auction and don't have a truck

Actually looking forward to this one, as it sounds like there will be a lot of games at it again.

Just saw on craigslist as well that Fun World in Brookfield will be doing a public auction......on Saturday.....starting at 10:30am (inspect at 9). Go figure that it's the same day, and pretty much the same time. Although, the last time I was in Fun World (which hasn't been for years), I remember it being mostly redemption games; so probably won't be missing too much from that one. Might stop over after work, as it's only another minute out of my way when going home. Will post any updates I get from going there.

EDIT** Nevermind, it seems they list the date as Saturday, December 4, 2010. All I saw was Saturday .... 4, 2010; and thought it was this Saturday. Still might stop over just to be sure, since I live 5 minutes from it.

Sucks to see it go lot of fun memories from that place.

I see you are from Brookfield as well hmmm, wonder if we know each other.

Yeah, I read the date fast and thought it was this Saturday, since it's also the 4th. Glad it's not the same day.

We might have crossed paths before. I worked in Brookfield Square for several years. About three in Suncoast (while it was still there), and three years in Gamestop (up until last summer); so if you were ever in those you might have seen me. Otherwise, I'd be up for meeting more people in the area. Hopefully will have my basement arcade up and running by the end of the year.
