So as was brought up a touch in this thread here:

http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=191681&page=4

I thought I would check to see who in the Milwaukee area might have an interest in this.

Either:
A) Hosting
B) Showing up

Would be a nice way to meet (free from the shilling and buy backs of Super Auctions :) ), other KLOVers and would be a good day of checking out each other's collections.

I figure a few of us could set something up, visit a few folks arcades, and if enough people are interested maybe a few day event or even a semi regular thing.

As a few of you know my arcade is housed at my work, but I will gladly volunteer to be the tail leg of a tour (post store close as to not interfere with normal busniess).

So if you have interest in attending or even hosting speak up!

we are a ways up north but the wife and myself would probably come down for something like that!

I'm from up in Appleton, but depending on the weekend I'd be up for it. Would I be able to bring my 18 and 12 year old nephews? Or would this be more of an "adult" outing.

I willing to host a Green Bay Event. I also have about 800sq ft of parts to sell. so Bring stuff to trade and sell. I have over 40 monitors that need a good home some working/ most semi working. I also have a test bench if we need to test anything.

I've wanted to do a klovish tailgate slash parts rummage, but wasn't sure of where to do it, there is a bunch of people around here, but no more auctions. If we could agree on a place to do it it could be really fun.

While I was still in the Navy there were lots of Auctions going down here besides the Midwest Classic gaming event held every year. Now that I'm out and back home, nada! I have to pull rabbits out of hats to try and find a cab at a decent price around here. LOL

Here is what I am envisioning. We get a few volunteers, we start at one place and treat it as a pub crawl type event. Hit a few folks places throughout the day.

Not neccessarily limit times but say okay we go from person A's to Person B's to Person C's...

A tour, but after thinking about it a 'Cade Crawl is more descript.

Like I said I'd gladly be the tail end of the event, if we get a few more people we can then plan a start time etc.

Just tossing it out there. If folks are interested.

This sounds like a very cool idea. I would like to try to make it to something like this. Hard to say for sure if I could come without a sure date/time. I will have to watch this thread.

I'm down for it - I'm located in Kenosha/Racine but I'm up in Milwaukee all the time and it's a short drive.

Not sure I have much to offer in the way of things to show (2 machines only) but I'd love to participate/help out.

We could also always do a party at a different persons arcade, maybe a once a month thing?

We have a pretty good list of people, all relatively close:

Magog - Muskego
Silvercoin - Muskego
KillerKades - Jackson
billybob2236 - Green Bay
animesuperj - Waukesha

I wonder if Joe Till (he's in Greendale) would be interested in hosting some people. Might have to give him a call sometime. I'd also probably have to host sometime next summer, as my "arcade" isn't setup yet. The contractor is starting construction on it right away next spring. Hopefully will then do the framing, electrical, drywall, paint all relatively quick. As soon as it's done, I'm throwing a party for it.

I'd love to add my place in Appleton to that list, but I only have 1 game right now. That said, if anyone wants to come move a game and empty cab I'm having a bbq party on oct 8.
