I have a Millipede that won't boot. The voltages on the PCB test points are
5Vtp=5v;
+22TP=+25v;
-22tp =-25V;
10.3tp=12.5V
Do these voltages look acceptable? I rebuilt the PS and this is what I got after completion. Had only 2.5 V on the 5Vtp before rebuilding. If these voltages look good what should I check on the PCB. All I get is static from the speakers and a power light on the PCB. The volume is adjustable on the static.

bump. Any ideas? I have a 6502A processor, but I don't have a B. What would happen if I stuck it in there?

The 6502A is a 2mhz processor and the 6502B is 3mhz, so it probably won't work. I haven't seen a millipede, but if it's like the older Atari's there are test points for the various clock signals, labeled something like 6mhz, 4H, Sync, etc. Check those with a logic probe and see if you get a pulse.

Ok. Thanks. I went ahead and swapped the processors last night. Once A was installed I got one long beep and then a couple seconds later two short beeps. Nothing else. I'll have to buy a logic probe and test the data test points.

Thanks,
Jeff

I am going to bring an O-scope home from work tonight. I'll take a look at the waveforms and see what is there.
