I bought a non-working Millipede at a garage sale for fifty bucks. I thought I might be able to part it out or have a cabinet for something else. The game only beeped twice when you powered it up and nothing on the monitor. After some research and a few helpful tips here on KLOV, I found it was the 2114 RAM chip. I ordered 3 from Bob Roberts and went to my local Radio Shack to purchase sockets. I figured if the board ever had the same problem again, it would be easier to just plug in a new chip than unsoldering and resoldering the new chip in. It worked, but the game played blind! The monitor was showing blue across the screen and all sorts of lines, so I replaced the chassis with one I got from a buddy of mine. I now have a fully functioning Millipede. I love this game and intend to keep it for a long while. Happy gaming...
