I have had a Braze multi kit for a few years.. Never installed it.. I have had about 6 Centipedes in the last few years, but never got around to getting the centipede to millipede adapter from arcadeshop. So it never got installed.. The wife got me the adapter for christmas, and I planned on installing it in my Centipede cabaret..

A few weeks ago I bought one of the nicest unrestored Millipedes I have seen, from a warehouse.. I saw it burried behind about 20 machines, all I could see was the top of the machine.. I didnt know what he wanted for it. I didnt want to dig it out, only to have my offer rejected. So I made him a offer before I even looked the cabinet over.. He accepted.. So Im digging this cabinet out, thinking to myself what a dumb shit I was for offering before inspecting. Bad thoughs of water damage, missing boards, missing monitors, wood chunks missing kept running thru my head as I got closer and closer to the machine..

Once I got to the machine, I was stunned. No water damage, nice art, complete.. A tag on the power cord said monitor problems the tag was dated 1992.. The operator said the cab had not moved from that spot since 1992..

I got it home and plugged it in, it played but monitor would not sync for a minute or 2 then worked, needed caps though.. The machine was filthy.. I opened it up.. everything was original, all the boards and monitor had matching serial numbers.. backdoor sheet and manual still stapled to back door..

A few weeks later this is what I have.. I took a break from things tonight, and have been playing the hell out of it.. Its sooo sweet.. I need to do somemore cleaning inside the cab, and prob will install a new CPO, Marquee overlay and rebuild the rollerball even though its rolling pretty good..

This is one of my fav games as well. I thought the one I picked up a while back was in great shape, but yours is a bit nicer even. Good score.

That's a pretty cab. Dan.
Nice score!

Thanks might bring it to the show :D Only thing I messed up on, was removing the manuals.. I had never seen that kind of a monitor before.. and I needed the manual.. I should have taken pics of monitor and, posted here.. I only detached the top staples on the manual platic cover, so I can re attach it..

1st time i played Millipede in about 20 years was at the Seattle game show. When i got back home i had to get the kit for my Centipede so i could play it, awesome game! I just put a video up a couple days ago that talks about the Multipede kit:

That'd be cool.
I thought I read somewhere that you couldn't come this year.?

We had aniversary plans, for the weekend of the show.. She let me move them to the following week.. With the new baby, I will prob be coming to the show alone this year:)

Have you ever taken the monitor out? What a bitch..

No, but care to offer me preview of what I'm in for? I picked up a 2nd Millipede a while back which has a super clean monitor while my original is a hacked up WG 4600 w/ sync issues.

It can't possibly be worse than taking a WG 6100 out of a Star Wars. That is nerve wracking.

No, it not any worse then that, you need to take the speaker panel off for the frame of the monitor to clear, also the bottom nuts and bolts can be a slow pain in the ass to remove.

Thats so funny.. My 18 year old son kicks my ass at centipede too. He does not put up numbers like your boy though, prob around 150k.. Your son is 11, and has almost broke 300k nice. My 5 year old daughter can get to the 3rd or 4th screen:) The guy you were talking about in your video that you got the Millipede PCB from is Dick Millikan.. Yes he is awesome!! He is a member here too..

Another great video..

Yea that what I had to do.. Tell me why they would mount all the bolts backwards, the bottom 2 bolts are a total bitch..

Oh so the stock monitor has bolts through the shelf? As long as I'm not literally bending the frame to squeeze it out (which was my experience with the 6100).

EDIT: Nevermind maybe I'm not getting you. Backwards bolts? Like carriage bolts with the nuts on the back side? Sounds annoying. I'll figure it out when I get to that project though.

Same reason I sold my Centipede and went with the Multipede plus I like the art package better, nice score Dan!!

Hell yes, Millipede's art kicks ass.

Yes nuts are on the front side.. Top 2 are secure bolts and dont spon on the backside.. Bottom 2 spin so you have to use 2 wrenches.. My hands are big, and it was hard to get to the backside..

No you dont have to bend the frame to get it out, but you have to get just the right angle pulling it out.. Its packed in there pretty good...

The worse monitor pull I have ever done was on a Assault, there just is not enough room for a hand to get in there and hold the bolts on the bottom.

Multipede just plain rocks. I just equipped My Centipede with it recently. I had forgotten how crazy millipede gets. So much shit coming at you plus the sound effects are awesome. Unlike some of you I MUCH prefer Centipedes art. The side Cntipede art is just wicked Evil looking.

Here is my Multipede Hiding behind Ms. Pac

That's an awesome kit. BITD I played Centipede and couldn't stand Millipede because I would die so quickly on it. Now it's not even a comparison, Millipede is a so much better game. I sold my Centipede and now have the Millipede with the kit in it. Your cabinet looks to be in excellent condition.
