I have had a Braze multi kit for a few years.. Never installed it.. I have had about 6 Centipedes in the last few years, but never got around to getting the centipede to millipede adapter from arcadeshop. So it never got installed.. The wife got me the adapter for christmas, and I planned on installing it in my Centipede cabaret..
A few weeks ago I bought one of the nicest unrestored Millipedes I have seen, from a warehouse.. I saw it burried behind about 20 machines, all I could see was the top of the machine.. I didnt know what he wanted for it. I didnt want to dig it out, only to have my offer rejected. So I made him a offer before I even looked the cabinet over.. He accepted.. So Im digging this cabinet out, thinking to myself what a dumb shit I was for offering before inspecting. Bad thoughs of water damage, missing boards, missing monitors, wood chunks missing kept running thru my head as I got closer and closer to the machine..
Once I got to the machine, I was stunned. No water damage, nice art, complete.. A tag on the power cord said monitor problems the tag was dated 1992.. The operator said the cab had not moved from that spot since 1992..
I got it home and plugged it in, it played but monitor would not sync for a minute or 2 then worked, needed caps though.. The machine was filthy.. I opened it up.. everything was original, all the boards and monitor had matching serial numbers.. backdoor sheet and manual still stapled to back door..
A few weeks later this is what I have.. I took a break from things tonight, and have been playing the hell out of it.. Its sooo sweet.. I need to do somemore cleaning inside the cab, and prob will install a new CPO, Marquee overlay and rebuild the rollerball even though its rolling pretty good..
