I bought a Matsushita monitor for my Millipede since the old tube is shot, but now I have a new problem. When I put in the new monitor it worked perfect for five minutes. Then the picture slowly got brighter until the whole screen was white. Now when I turn it on I'll see a picture for like 5 seconds and then it immediately turns white again. I checked the B+ and it's fine. I think it's a TM-202G. Any ideas?

I hate to say it, but if you look really close in the model of that monitor, you'll see the word "SHIT". A fitting name, I've found :) These things are just junk. I saw one catch on fire once. I don't know that there's any saving them, but good luck to you, I hope you get it.

Did you recap the replacement monitor before installing it?

No. The monitor was from a parted out machine and was working fine before. I am a little leery to cap it because the last Matsushita I had capped was worse after the cap kit.

So you swapped the WHOLE monitor ? (just to clarify what may have been messed with)

Have you tried turning the SCREEN control down after it turns white?
Have you checked to see if the video input cable or header pins are loose? (wiggle test)

Yes the whole monitor was swapped. I checked the input cable and pins. I will try the screen control.

I know it's probably something simple right in front of me, but I just can't seem to figure this one out. The picture still starts out fine then just gets lighter and lighter until a completely white screen. Anyone have an idea?
