i just got a millionaire pin and it just lights up. i check the fuses and a fuse on the power supply board was bad. i replaced it and then the displays and so on come on for a few secs.then the fuse blows.those anyone know what that fuse runs to and what could cause it..
thanx in advance
Brian

the fuse that was bad is located right underneath the square thing(dunno what its called)and its the one on the right.there is only 2 fuses located there

i was thinking that, after i disconnected the output from the power supply board and it didn't blow..i will order one and keep you posted

If it didnt blow after you disconnected the output I would look upstream for a short.

I should have said downstream, I would guess there would be a short on the main pcb somewhere. Check which fuse is blowing (+5,12 so on) and go from there. As eneryone recomends pinrepair is a god send.

i need to correct myself. its on the imput side.if i disconnect all outputs it still blows.if i disconnect the input its fine. i am thinking bridge rectifer or power board...dunno still try to figure it out

Im going with br1 then, but thats based on a hunch (without knowing which actuall fuse is blowing)

its the one under the black box on the right

i have disconneted all the outputs and it didn't blow,i will try just the ones you said.when you say power supply are you meaning the transformer or the power supply board.i did jcheck the voltages and 2 of them were suppose to have 100v i beleve and they had nothing...thanx for the help..i really want to get this going

do you know of a place that carries it..i looked and couldn't find one at marcos or bayside...

I picked up my replacement BR1 at marcos but, I verified mine was bad with a multi-meter reading conductivity across the various poles. Dont just shot gun it it is fairly uncommon for these things to go bad (i hear). The test that someotherguy is recommending is very important here also and is outlined at pinrepair.

ok thanx i will do that when i get off work and let you know what happens..thanx for all your help

i disconnected the top two connectors like you said and the fuse still blew.so i am guessing i need a new power supply.i found a refurbished one on k's arcade for 95.00.

ok i got the power supply replaced and i got everything to work, but i think i fried my display.i hooked some wires up wrong and zzz now it is out, what should i check to hopefully bring the display back to life
