Mikes arcade DK buttons

... If anyone has any original blue, green, or orange nintendo buttons for sale, let me know!

Do you know if the Vs. buttons are the same? I will have to check, but I'm pretty sure my Vs. SMB I bought (That began life as a DK) had Green and Blue 1P and 2P buttons. One of them cracked, but if you were willing to trade me 2 repros for one orig, I'd be more than happy to do that. :)

Mikes DK buttons are just standard short leaf-switch buttons he's put on a lathe and trimmed off a hair of width. You can do the same... I used a Dremel tool...

....and what's with those dust covers ON TOP of the CP? They should be UNDER the CP.

The clear ones are supposed to be on top.

I would like to see the color of the buttons matched, but the button itself is more important. The Nintendo buttons feel completely different than the standard buttons - much more travel on the button since it is about twice the height.

I've played at least 200 different Donkey Kong/DK Jr games in my life and I've never once seen the clear dust covers on top in the wild. Not once.

EDIT: I just looked at my DKJr flyer...it's hard to see because the image is small, but it appears there is no dust cover on top of the CP on the flyer. (not that it's that big of a deal really)

I don't remember them lasting very long. I think they scratched the cpo quite a bit too, so most ops probably removed the ones that weren't already removed by the customers.

They were supposed to be on top per the manual, but you do rarely see them this way. You may be refering to the "other" black disc that does go below the CP, but the clear was on top.

The clear dust washer that goes on top of the CPO goes in the garbage. Don't put that crap on your Ninty. It scratches the CPO and looks like crap and it's just plain ghetto.
