Mikes arcade DK buttons

They are good buttons, nice and loose right out of the box. The collar is a little smaller than a regular nintendo button. My Donkey Kong has two original blue buttons and a Mike's Arcade orange one and it bugs the hell out of me. Normal people won't notice the difference.

If anyone has any original blue, green, or orange nintendo buttons for sale, let me know!

Mike's don't sit as tall as the original buttons, but they are a great alternative if you can't find decent originals. I know some guys take the original ones they have that are burned/scratched/faded and somehow bring them back to life. I have Mike's on my DK and Bob's on my DK Junior and MB. I'm not too picky that I'm going to scour KLOV and the internet for original buttons. Repro/New buttons work just fine. Though, it would be nice to have originals. :)

Cool. I've got to buy a chip from him, and figured, while Im doing that, might as well pick up some buttons, maybe save on some shipping...

Just got my buttons from mikes, and they look alot darker than the ones pictured in this thread. Maybe he is making them more like the original...?

Can you post some pics of yours jay? If they got the colors right now, I might order more.\
Thanks

I just took my org buttons off my DK. They were very dark like audiomidman's. Yeah I think it is from the smoke. My control panel had cigarette burns in front of the buttons. You can see the back of them is a lighter shade of blue.

Here are some pics of them. The back of them is much lighter than the front.

I just sold my DK and the buttons on there were original. They look exactly like Andrews.

In my MB WB I am restoring. I first ordered Bob's buttons and they were more sharp than the originals so I tried Lizard Lick Wicos which were tall and more round. They didn't fit so I put a bolt and nut throught them, put it on my drill press... spun and cut them down to fit in my CP. I shaved the collar of them to fit.

I love the color and the shape. Almost as tall but more round than original Nintendo buttons.
Mikes prices just turned me off...

Mikes DK buttons are just standard short leaf-switch buttons he's put on a lathe and trimmed off a hair of width. You can do the same... I used a Dremel tool...

....and what's with those dust covers ON TOP of the CP? They should be UNDER the CP.
