Hi,

I just picked up a midway table tennis wall game.

It came with 2 wireless remote controls. Player 1 remote control (not working) is the large box original remote control. Player 2 remote control (also not working) looks like a garage door opener from the 1990's.

It has the wireless controller boards installed (see pic)

I really like the hard wired button controllers that I've seen connected to the coinbox as I like the look and feel of them.

Is there a way to just leave the wireless controller boards in place and hardware the wired controllers?

I'm really looking for the easiest way to get this running so if the easier way is the wireless key fob, that's fine.

I will also need to find a way to rig a coin up or start button.

Thanks

Those are not like Bullseye. The dipswitch setting probably controls the frequency. I would need more pictures and look at it more when I get home.

Based on the matching dip switches, the bottom board goes to player 1 and the top board goes to player 2

The controller on the right (player 2) had a year stamp of 1983. I put new 9V batteries in each, but get no response.

Pin 7 should be a +DC and pin 4 is likely GND. This will help tell what those and the other wires are doing. The Red wires look like they are broken off, and it needs to be determined what they are.

What board does this diagram refer to?

P1 and P2 have a 741 on them. They require a DC voltage. Some of those red wires are not connected. It is good to know what those wires are for and where to put them.

Ideally I'd like to eliminate these old controllers and use either the fob or hardware jeopardy style buzzers

I also need to rig a coin button for the credit and start. I gather I could daisy chain off each to a micro switch. Question is do I daisy chain them off the top 3 or bottom 3 wires on each?

You can do what you want. I want to figure out your system and help others keep their game running.

Noted. I think the momentary switch in the player 1 box may be bad. The 2nd remote is 42 years old.

But it isn't necessarily needed. It appears that free play can be enabled by using alligator clips on the switch near the credit score reel (credit to pinrepair.com)

I have ordered 2 hardwired push button jeopardy style controllers like the originals. I have also ordered schematics from pinball resource.
