Found these on eBay this evening and hit buy it now. Same location. Only draw back is they're in Oregon and I reside in Ohio. In negotiations with the current owner to give me a little time to pay the freight. Have a quote from NAVL which was hard to swallow all at once. About 5000 miles round trip from my current residence so drivings not and option.

So I ask all of you for advice on the methods you've used other than NAVL that were cost effective? Your time and responses are appreciated in advance...

Not many options besides NAVL for that trip. You could shop around for competitive prices from other freight companies, but NAVL has experience moving games.

Nice panzer and SAMI, but the SAMI has been painted black Are you going to change it back to white?

I noticed that too and intend to restore to the original white. Seller agreed to give me time to ship. Mechanical and cosmetic games will be restored from top to bottom. These two titles even with shipping in the mix are half of what I've typically seen them sell for. I really feel that I've lucked out. Thanks for posting and I may post a restoration thread for both.

hello.
im from pittburgh, pa and i usually use shipping companies that offer discounts to ship to businesses with loading docks.....there are a few that charge less if you have a shipping dock and an easy place to turn around. i havent shipped a game for awhile, ill have to check on the name of the company i used last.

i saw that jokerball on craigslist and had no idea what the hell that thing was.....but good luck with it

if you restore a sami you should make a thread. i have a sami too but mine needs all restored, it works though...but i wont get to fixing it or aabout a year or so

Woodrailsrus thanks for posting on my thread and looking into the shipper. The problem is it would have to be a lift gate/lift gate shipment. I may be able to work out a lift gate/dock shipment. Nevertheless I appreciate you looking for me.

Regarding the Joker Ball. It was about a two hour drive from Boardman. OH where I reside to Eighty Four, PA. Was the whole two hours plus my iPhone GPS took me on a ton of backroads. I already drive 200 miles a day to Cleveland (3 hours) for work so to say the least I was very tired yesterday after the 7 hours of driving. I did 31 hour trip to Myrtle Beach for the Space Mission my wife (boss) thinks I'm insane my explanation is I have great passion for the hobby.

Arrived home and found this YouTube 1 of 3 videos on it if you'd like to take a look. I wish I had this backglass. The one I have is in very bad shape and I may try my first reproduction using scanning. I'm assuming many of these games didn't survive but thats an assumption.

Regarding the S.A.M.I. - I'll post a restoration thread on this game. Since you own a S.A.M.I. may I ask a few questions? Are the sides stenciled or silk screened? From what I can see from my photo's they look silk screened. I'd be shocked if they we're vinyl. Have you had to replace the projection bulb? Is it a regular bulb or a special? Have you had or are aware of typical issues with your S.A.M.I. I should look out for? I appreciate your help and will return the favor for any information that you can provide.

Regarding timing on the restore still working on the ski-ball and not that often these days as I'm restoring the basement that houses the games and one more project for the boss the main bathroom. Don't see me going back to restoration mode full time until the beginning of November... :(

@OHEMIO - glad you like the game room, appreciate the kind words. The sad part is that I used to have black light carpet in the room, but water issues made quick work of that. Just recently resolved the issue and may put carpet down again one day.

I've got my own SAMI and I am pretty sure it is just stenciled side art. Well done stencils. You can see my game here: https://picasaweb.google.com/cnlmoore/MidwaySAMI?authuser=0&feat=directlink

I bought the repro film for the game and found a replacement joystick from another Bally EM so I hope to have it working again soon. If I ever get some free time I'll post my resto thread as well.

Hmmm...I just looked at the artwork again, maybe it is screened on the cab. And before anyone asks, yes the guy I got it from made that crazy battle scene diorama for the game, but I have a spare original to swap in.

I checked out the restoration pics. I actually like the battle scene but would not want it without the original. Graphics were too clean and sharp I had a fear that it was screened. I'll have to see what shape mine is in when it arrives. In the process of refinishing my basement (arcade). Had major issue with leaking walls so installed a french drain outside now that it's dry I'm pressure washing, cleaning, dissinfecting, sealing, painting the inside.

Going to go with a white on the walls and light grey epoxy on the floor. All the games are going on wheels so they can be moved for cleaning. Worth the investment in my eyes to be able to move them for cleaning etc. Thinking of doing lighting in the basement but not sure what type or how as of yet. Appreciate you sharing the restoration pics Chris will definitely utilize them for reference while restoring mine.
