doing some reading/research on space invaders repair logs etc and came across a reference to a specific ram test board for the midway L shaped boards

lost the reference to the midway part no , but, does anyone have one of these ?

i'm interested to see what one looks like, and how it fits!

thanks! got the kit already, just hadnt noticed the link to the self test section. thats good - will make it easier to test/repair !

still interested to see the original 1970's midway ram test PCB though!

You will like the kit. That's how I found out that I was missing the saucer hit sound. Please let me know if you find a stash of those test pcb's would be good to have.
Thanks

I have one but I call it a Fluke 9010a :) You can get the test rom for testing ram, but if there's a rom problem or some other issue then the test rom won't boot and it won't matter if the ram is good anyway until you fix THAT problem :)

i'll be having my first crack at repairing some taito si type boards soon, hence my research/reading up on si repairs

i (jealousy running rampant) would love a fluke with pods for 6809, z80 and 8080 - it would be a great help debugging - so much to repair and so little time to do it - edit: kinda pricey on ebay at the moment!

jealosy aside, ever seen the 70's midway ram test pcb or pics of one ? found the ref to the pcb no a few days ago but lost it again grr.

Found the original reference again here:

and since then i Found this post: http://www.vectorlist.org/TechTools/2004/09/0005.html
quote:
"... so I'm looking for the documents for the RAM test card that plugs into the old 8080 (Space Invaders, etc.). This has three LED 7-segment displays, that produce a code to indicate which RAM is bad (assumption). ....The card has MIDWAY MFG CO and "80-903" as a part number, also has a single PROM (24 pin) and two 24 pin sockets - one for the PROM, the other for a 24 pin ribbon cable to plug into "H" (assumption again)...... Gunfight RAM test?

Will the Braze Technologies Space Invaders multi game kit work as a RAM test for a Gunfight game?

I am experiencing strange problems with jail bars around the cowboys and intermittent problems with guns firing by themselves as well as guns only aiming upwards no matter which direction the joysticks are moved.

Sounds like +5 is low.
