Midway Multi Game

It is a self contained board that plugs into the AV jacks of a television. It is legit as far as I can tell but it is functionally the same as those Jakks hand held units.

Does it emulate the games good ?

So thats just a regular TV in there ?

It is just a regular 13" tv. I can't really tell you about the emulation. The few I played (Robotron and Joust mainly) seemed fine to me but I am no expert on the original games since I never played them back in the day.

i grabed one for 25$ awhile back they are junk games work ok but joysticks are a quality below jap knock offs (think worse than a yugo) and the board is like a home console but you cant use diffrent games

i git mine for the cab to mame but even it was pretty much junk thin wood flimsy cab
i ended up only using the monitor in a tatio space invaders cocktail everything els was usless

You still got the board?

*EDIT* Thanks for the pm.
I know this isn't the wanted section..... but if anyone has one of these boards cheap let me know.

A friend of miine had one like that. It had the titles of the cabs on the side of the cab. If i remember right, the cp looked more like a multi williams. I know ive seen em for around 300. I played bubbles on it and it played fine for me. PLayed it drunk for like 3 hours!

I bought the guts from one awhile back. Put them in a commercial grade cabinet using a 20" TV, much better than the cheesy cabinet and monitor as sold retail.

It's legit. Emulation and sound is pretty good. Colors are a little cheesy, reds are orange and so on.

Heres the video of the one I built:

I since have sold it off and kind of wish I had kept it. I need a Multi-Williams, and I'm tapped for quite awhile.

what's with the capcom 6xbutton control panel on that thing.

Someone should build an aftermarket/garage industry MW drop in CP for that thing.

The "Capcom" control panel is the standard layout in Japan and China for candy cabs. They just remove the excess buttons and install plugs similar to the ones Happ sells.

The machine was designed to be upgradeable, the games are on a cartridge. However, as far as I know the only other cartridge was for the Konami machine which was vertical...

yes I have a candy machine I get it.

The thing is that it just looks wrong and isn't that hard to have a MW layout. It even makes me interested in getting one, just to fix up to a cheap NEWish MW cab.

What board does this game use ? Is it Mame ? Is it legit or bootleg ?

I've got a bartop unit that looks the same. 13" TV, crummy sticks and buttons. Works, emulations are OK (I'm not familiar enough with any of the games to notice differences). It's a cheap and cheesy way to get a bunch of titles.

I was given mine, and I'm glad to have it, but there isn't an arcade quality component in the thing. Don't pay too much for one - they were not that expensive new, and WOOT sold off the bartop units for even cheaper a while back.
