I ordered a couple of Midway marquee brackets (the metal ones) for a Ms Pac and need someone to confirm something for me. Both brackets (top and bottom piece) have the same bend, about 75 degrees. The top one matches the angle of the cabinet, but the bottom one seems like it should be more of a 90 degree bend to match the speaker panel angle. Is this the way they are supposed to be or did I get 2 top ones?

Thanks
Joe

That's how mine are on my machine - seemed a bit odd to me, since I would have expected the bottom bracket to have a bit more bend to it. I'm guessing it was to make manufacturing easier. I believe my galaga ones are the same way.

Interesting note though - the screw holes on my galaga and ms pac marquee brackets were different - I took them all off at once to strip and re-paint and then was confused when the screw holes in the bracket didnt match up with the holes in the cabinet. Turns out I had it on the wrong machine.

Thanks. I am getting these made up to use on my repo cabs and figured I would fix the bottom bracket to match the cabinet angle, but if that is the way they are supposed to be I will make them both the same angle.

If anyone needs some new ones with black powder coating, let me know. I can make some extra. They will be $23/set plus shipping.

I need just one for my TRON. I have one here that I already powdercoated. LMK!

The way the material works out to cut them from the sheet of steel, it makes 48 sets. So if I sell just one piece I'm afraid I'll be stuck with one loney straggler. If you want a set, they will be ready to ship in 2 weeks.

I don't know about Ms Pac, but the marquee on TRON is angled back (15? degrees). So the top bracket is angled ~105 degrees (outward) and the bottom is ~75 degrees (inward) rather than 90 straight up/down to achieve the angle.

I have to take back my response above...on my Ms Pac, both brackets are identical, but its the bottom bracket that sits flush and the top bracket angle is off.

My Galaga brackets match the contour of the cabinet and both top and bottom sit flush against the marquee.

I'll have to pull them off later and see how they compare to each other.
