It worked at the guys house, but here the TILT light comes on and the red wire on the coil has current flowing threw it. I have checked all three tilt mechs and none of them are tilting so I am lost on what to do! Watch the video and you will see what I am talking about plus the damn thing is doing some sort of clicking!!

Ok I've tried PB and Flikr and Youtube and it won't upload! So maybe we can figure it out without a video or pictures!

Ok so more info about this issue: When I open the coin door and add a credit by the micro-switch *think of dropping a coin in* the credit reel goes all the way up to 19 credits added *one at a time of course* and just keeps trying to add more. While this is happening the big thing on the back door that keeps track of credits *I think thats what it is* keeps spinning also.
2.) When it is doing this I turn the game off, then back on, and then push the start game button on the coin door and the coin reel goes all the way back to 0 credits and keeps going and doing the same thing as previously said.
So I am pretty sure it is a switch in the credit section somewhere, but not knowing anything about these I don't know which switches should be open and which should be closed.

Also the TILT light is coming on and staying on which I don't know if that is normal until the game fully resets itself, but I don't think it is. Someone on IPDB under comments mentioned a "paddle sensor" might cause this issue, but I have no clue what a "paddle sensor" is and cannot find any info on it?

lastly: What is the best to clean the million switches in this game because I really don't want to look at the cost of replacing them all!

The attached pic of a contact burnishing tool is what I use to clean switch contacts. It will gently remove the oxidation build-up. You could also use emory cloth but hen you'd have to deal with the residue it leaves behind; canned air takes care of most of that. Good luck!

Where did you find that HL? Looks like the tool I want!

Also: Anyone know where to get parts for an old pitch and bat? Like a new bat rubber?

You can get these at most electronics stores but not at Rat Shack. Can be ordered online as well. Just Google contact burnishing tool and you'll see many results. You should be able to pick it up for less than $5 each.

Ok update: When you add a credit per the switch: The credit reel goes all the way too 19 and the game keeps trying to add credits beyond that.
Turn game off and then back on. Push the start button on coin door: Credit reel goes back to 0 and keeps trying to go to 0 and one of the reel motors keeps running also.

The one coil I noticed that kept firing was the 150 degree coil. Anyone know what that coil is for?

Well I got it working last night.....well somewhat lol. The credit reel adds a credit and stops now! Now the damn TILT is staying activated unless I manually turn it off *the relay*. Also it won't start a game unless I manually move the start setup in the head so still more digging to do, but my g/f was laughing at me while I was playing last night. She compared me to a kid in Toys R Us getting everything he has ever wanted lol.

I have been reading it and rereading it. For Gottleib, Williams, and Bally it is an amazing document, but is lacking for Midway which did a lot of things different.

It's so damn close!!!!!!

Ok update from last night:
TILT: Seems to stay lit until a game is started.

STARTING: For some reason the start button on the coin door is not working *both wires hooked up and everything looks fine*. To start a game I have to push the start switch set in the head.
Sometimes when I push the switch set it won't fully reset the game and nothing will score like it should.

SCORING: Some of the targets scoring is off by 2 and some only by 1. Sometimes they won't score at all!

Anyone know how P&B's score? The two umps/targets on the right side of the middle playfield have no wires or anything coming from them, but under the pf is some sort of board screwed to the pf. The targets across the back don't have wires either so I am guessing it is some sort of magnet or something?

With everything not resetting like it should, that sounds like you need to go through and clean EVERYTHING. On my bowler, I had to take every scoring reel apart and clean the gunk off of them (some idiot had lubed them). After you do that, run the solenoid through manually with your hand and watch for the 9 switch and the 0 switch to make contact/disconnect at the proper times.

If this works for you, you should really go through all your steppers and clean them as well, an EM that has sat for awhile usually needs a thorough going over.

I think it is something with the start sequence because 97% of the time it fully resets. After it is fully working I plan on cleaning everything, but even the guide says Do NOT take the reels apart in a midway EM.

Midway Little League working!

We managed to get it fully working last night. The score real coil is kinda noisey, but otherwise it plays 100%. I have a few lamp sockets to replace and some bulbs to buy, but otherwise is working as it should!
