do you need to have a 28 pin socket for the test rom or can you use it in a 24pin socket?

i bought a couple of 28 pin sockets as i might try the single rom method 50/50 on it but,i definately will have to use the test rom,i am just unsure as to whether it should be used on a 28pin socket,my board originaly had 9316b ics,so just got 24 pin ones there at the mo.

thanks.

You don't need a go-between socket. Just strap the board for EPROMs and plug the test ROM in. The test ROM would be burned to a 2716, which is a 24 pin chip.

Yep if you have 9316B roms then just burn the test rom to a 2716 and plug it in to socket H - should be good to go.

I just updated the single rom mod with some pics and a new trick. Did a couple last night and it worked great.
