I have a midway cruis'n world I finally fixed playing the game when steering the car makes a cliking sound all the the time I turn the wheel left or right. Anyone know what the issue might be. Game plays fine steers fine but makes the annoying cliking sound.

I was thinking of replacing the belt in my Cruis'n USA because when you turn, you can hear it stretching or something that makes an pleasant sound. I took the control panel off and didn't see an easy way to replace the belt. Can someone provide some instruction on how to do so?

Bringing this one back. Does anyone have directions on how to inspect or replace the belt? I don't see any easy way of accessing it and the manual doesn't appear to shed any light on this particular issue.

There are bolts on the top and bottom of the control panel if you remove them the entire panel comes off and you can then service the belt.

Thanks, I'll go out and take a look shortly and will post up what I find. Perhaps even take some pictures.

I got it apart and found the issue to be that the two set screws holding the belt gear to the motor were loose. I tightened them up and the steering wheel self centers again. I took lots of pics and will put together an explanation of what was required to take it apart.
