Ordered some bulbs to go behind the "25 cent" on my Midway coin door only to find out that the wires are snipped from the power supply. I've attached photos of the power supply for this cabinet. Where should I hook the wires up? Not sure what the difference is between the blue power suppley and the "board" that some of the wires run into on the bottom of the cabinet( thats the board the my power cord is coming from).

Thanks

What game is this, and what type of bulbs did you get?

Normally, at least in Midway games like Ms. Pac-Man, the coin door lights are powered from a 12VAC tap off the transformer in the bottom of the cab, with a fuse in series.

If you happened to get 6.3V bulbs (e.g. #44 or #47) you could instead run them off the unused -5V output of the switching power supply. (the blue thing with the screw terminals in your first pic) Again, it's a good idea to put a fuse inline.

So I ran the wires to the -5V and got nothing.

I give up...lol. I ran the wire into the transformer too and still got nothing. This is turning out to be a bigger hassle than it is worth to have those two little lights on

If you've already run the wires to the -5v on the power supply, just put in #44/#47 bulbs. They are the same size as 756's. They are 6.3v bulbs and should light up just fine. Or you could just move your wire to the +12v and use your 756 bulbs.

I think you should get a multimeter and check the voltage at the lamp holders. Maybe they're corroded, or something is just not hooked up correctly.
