Just a PSA, Midway never manufactured their own coin door. After some research I discovered that Coin-Mech Brand manufactured what we call the "Midway coin door" back in the 1970's as their 1700 series door. The door and its variants was used by other arcade manufacturers including Ramtek.
A little about Coin-Mech Brand Inc
Coin-Mech was established by former partners of Coin Acceptors inc , Arlene Pierz and Ray Nicolson, after Arlene and Mike's shares were bought out following the passing of Arlene's husband Al Pierz in 1969. The company would quickly woo Bally-Midway away from Coin Acceptors inc and establish themselves as the primary supplier of all coin handling parts for Bally's pinball, video arcades and slot machines. By the early 80's Coin-Mech brand dominated the coin operated slot machine market. Coin-Mech moved to a facility at walking distance to Midway to help serve their primary customer better. As games like Pac-man and Ms. Pac-man hit their peak, Coin-mech was manufacturing coin doors, loading them on dollys and walking them directly to Midway's cabinet manufacturing facility.
While Coin-mech no longer sells complete 1700 series doors, you can still buy basic parts such as the mech holders, springs and switches from them.
