I'm gauging interest in doing a run of Midway Coin Door Plates. Specifically the "Fun is our business" version.
The top plate is my original door plate for reference and the bottom is the one I had fabricated. It's a DynaSub (dye sublimation transfer) onto aluminum. I vectorized the artwork myself. Btw - I'm a professional graphic designer so I know what I'm doing
The plate I'm showing is a preliminary plate so I've got some tweaks I need to make on it as I didn't account for the colors to bleed so much. I'm thinking a 1/2 or 1 point stroke outward on the text, logos and TM's should puff it up enough to look like the original. And a thicker line on the rounded box. And the line between Bally and Midway needs beefing up. I'm shooting for pretty damn close and not perfect on this. I don't have the time or money for that.
The red looks dead on the left where the light doesn't sheen across the glossy part of the plate. The holes are 1/8" (3.175mm) instead of 3mm. This was the smallest I could get the holes and have it machined. You're on your own for finding 1/8" brads at this point. I will offer up another option of it without holes and adhesive backed with 3M adhesive.
I'm thinking $10 a plate plus $5 shipping/handling is fair but if there is an overwhelming demand I might be able to drop the price. So if you were to place an order you would be getting the version of the plate with the corrections I state above.
PM me if interested
--- UPDATE ---
Midway coin door plates with "Fun is our business" are now available for purchase. I compensated for the bleeding of the colors and now they look awesome. Again, the plates are pretty damn close, not perfect. They are DynaSub (dye sublimation) prints on aluminum. There may be about a 1mm fluctuation over in width/height of the original plate due to the cutting process of the aluminum. The manufacturer told me this was unavoidable.
When you PM your order please provide:
I'll respond with a cost and my paypal email so you can send payment (gifting preferred).
$10 per plate
$5.35 shipping for lower 48 states
Purchase 10 or more plates at a time and the price will be reduced to $9 a plate.
Hawaii, Alaska, and outside of the US will require a recalculation of shipping costs. Shipping is through USPS and I'm estimating about 1-2 days to turn around your requests, I'm getting my wife acclimated to taking orders
