I don't think Rich mentioned it here, but if you follow him on Twitter you might have seen that he has his Midway Coin Door Inserts in stock again, both styles. I ordered a few pairs of the newer style and got them yesterday, so snapped a few pics to show how they compare to the originals.

They come individually packaged, with protective paper over the front:

For reference, here's what the originals look like:

And here are the new ones:

And here's a shot of old and new side by side:

Pros:
- Good replacement if yours are scratched, faded or missing
- Same thickness as the originals, so perfect fit for the windows

Cons:
- Not an exact match to the original font
- Alignment between the two inserts was off - one has the text slightly higher than the other. Noticeable to me when they are installed and viewed at eye level, but probably not noticeable when you are standing a few feet away.

You can purchase them here, $6 a pair, or $5 if you order 10+ (plus shipping):

Good review. I'll be picking mine up at CAX to see for myself.
Mine are a bit faded.

Do the new ones seem to let more light through? I noticed when I purchased his earlier run of them, the black seems to let more light through than the originals.
