midway "clowns" schematic,manual or ideas.

Anybody have a scan of the clowns manual ,i'm having all kinds of trouble with this boardset. The schematics for the daughter board would be most helpful .Long story short is i have a space invaders main board and clowns daughter board, the game actually worked but the graphics were jumpy and once it warmed up started leaving trails behind moving characters. So my big plan for this was to use the space invaders test rom to see if it was a bad ram.The test ram indicated all roms ok and then rebooted,in my mind this is because it is not a space invaders but will be just fine.So i let it run for oh.....about an hour in hopes it would warm up and i would then at least know the ram is good or not. After an hour no ram failed so i tossed game roms back in and fire it up and now the controls don't work.
I haven't checked anything aside from my connections at this point, credit works as do the player 1 and 2 start buttons, just the 2 rotary controls are out.
Any ideas?

Ok,the pots which are the controls test good with a meter. On the daughter board are 6 pots,1 near the control connector and a group of 3 farther down that edge of the board have no effect and there are 2 out in the middle of the board for volume.Looks like i'll be all over this with a logic probe as it's my best weapon.

I wonder if this uses similar optocouplers like the others do - if so they're prone to going bad and causing the exact symptoms. Look for Phet's post about Sea Wolf controls and you'll see a pic of where they are on that board.

Good thinking, but i'm not seeing them on here. This board is quite a bit different from seawolf.I have no idea what an optocoupler looks like. Here is a pic of that half of the board, the other side looks to be pretty dedicated to sound.
