Picked up a few games 340 miles R/T little farm town. Estate Sale the family told me that the family had owned a Arcade for over 40 years. These games were bought new by them. Paperwork and original manual in the Chopper, and a repair invoice dated 1978 in the destruction derby.
The Midway Chopper and Exidy Derby were in the same spot in the Barn since 1980 the lady told me, until they moved them for the sale.
Chopper is in amazing shape. its almost all there. only thing missing were the pinball legs and a plate that covers the controls. I hope Takeman can make me one. It even still has the 8 track player and the tape. The inside is clean.
So far I have got it to light up displays work, and it coins up and light a credit light.
Had to drill the locks found around 18 dollars in quarters in the coinbox. Latest date was 1980. 7 quarters were silver
Someday I will learn you always drill the coin door lock first!! The machine was loaded on the back end of the truck, with the back end by the tailgate. Since I didnt have pinball legs to set it up on, I figured I would drill the backl locks first. Had to drill them both to get in. Once in I could see keys hanging from the coin door. LOL I was able to get to the back of the coin door lock, so I didnt have to drill it. There were 4 keys 2 to each of the back locks. I have done this a few times now. Alway drill the coin door first.
