Midway A082-90400-x000 Power Supply

ohms, had it on 20k and it slowly climbs and then hits 0.L, I checked my SID board to compare I forgot the reading but it doesn't say 0.L.

started out as possibly being the PS, we are past that now and moved onto the main motherboard.. Thanks

Is there anyone who can give me a point in the right direction here.. first my board had a dead short, I found it to be a blue tantalum 22uf 25v, I changed that and now when i read the +12 on ohms, on 20k it slowly climbs and then hits 0.L, I checked my SID board to compare I forgot the reading but it doesn't say 0.L.

Since you fixed the short.....have you fired it up to see what happens?.....and take another voltage reading with the short removed?

Edward

yes, my voltage is now at 12.28.. but still nothing happens.. no sounds nothing on screen, you can see the monitor go on and can see it shrink down when powered off..

my DMM has ACV, DCV, DCA, OHM and continuity.. damn I need to quit being so cheap..

I know I am repeating myself but...

I have a SI and a SID,

I checked the ground and +12 at 20k on the SI board and It climbs util it hits 0.L
I checked the ground and +12 at 20k on the SID board and It reads 4.39

Yes, I even put the SI boards in my Deluxe and still no go.. the problem is still with the main board, the readings are not the same as the Deluxe board..
