I have a 3 track player for my Midway Haunted House and need the 4 track player. Is it possible to just add the necessary components (I know the MFC-8040 is expensive and only avalible from one source). It seems like the heads would be the same and the traces are there on the circuit board. Thanks! Chris

Not thinking it's that easy, that player you have is for Gangbusters.

It does! After doing some more research, mostly on Arcade archive and taking my player apart, all I have to do is add the additional components and because the heads on the 3 channel pre amp are wired in exactly in the same positions as the 4 channel one. I have all the parts, Thanks Ed at GPE !, and I will let everyone know how it turns out. I am still in search of some parts for this and with the 8 track tape that I have its condition being unknown I am still in the market for one of those! Thanks!
