Arcade expo has a new game Midnight Marauders.
According to what I read only 100 of these were made.

I also read that if the custom 40 pin chip dies you will end up with an pile.

So I grilled the seller cause we would rather working machine compared to a pile. To my delight he is very technical and knowledgeable about the machine he is selling.

The post i read from is old and now the code from the chip is downloadable and with the right burner it is possible to burn the custom 40 pin chip.

While it does play, the mechanics does need to be polished and oiled/greased.

I look forward to seeing people having fun playing this game.

That looks awesome Joe. Great addition to the collection. I need to get myself back over for a repair weekend!

It's an interesting game, I think it just didn't do that well because you need to be very precise with aim, it's a little bit exhausting on the eyes.

The microcontroller on the Infrasense board is the weak point, so that's great if the code has been dumped.

There were certainly way more than 100 made. Anecdotally, I've seen at least 7 or 8 of them in person, and have owned one for 20 years, which has a S/N in the mid-200s, IIRC.

congrats. Had one in project status for long time and finally moved it along. The info the on the custom 40pin chip is good to know...not sure I ever got that far while I had mine.

the line-up behind it is insane as well

Pepper II, Kram, ICB ... damn ...

you Cali kids and all your rare games! east coast jealousy goin' strong here ...

That looks to be in really good shape. Mine is all faded.

Been trying to get mine working but the (repaired) mpu is still not giving me anything

Link for those who asked :)

And yes the seller told me where to find it.

I only parrot what I found on the internet about the 400 machines.. I did later found another website that stated there were 1000.

The MPU works differently much like an eightball MPU? If I recall right.
One PCB fires up and gives a signal that it is ready and then the other PCB fires up.

Rough numbers there are about 430 working machines on the floor.
There is roughly 325 machines that still need to be worked one.

I bought 51 of the 325 machines that need to be worked on to the arcade floor..

You should come by and check the place out..

It's a -133 MPU, the same as Baby Pac & Granny. The only thing that differentiates it from a -35 is a single component change: a diode in place of a resistor in the zero cross circuit.

I don't understand. You bought 51 of his machines? Or bought 51 machines for him?

I Spend time fixing the arcade machines over at banning..

There are 430 arcade machine that on the floor that the public sees..

There are 324 games that are in storage that I know of..

I moved 51 games from one of the storage areas to work on them on the floor..

I helped move those 51 games :) My truck really kicked ass and moved them without any problems..Toyota power !!

The link works it just doesn't contain the code for the MC68701.

I was told the code was there, I haven't had time to verify it, so I am not sure..

But...

If you have the code and would like to share it with the world so the next person who has a bad mc68701 can keep his or her arcade machine. It would be great if you could.
