That's what I'd say. Sometimes people ask me to fix a med-res monitor, but if I don't have a med-res game pcb to connect, then i can't be sure it's fixed....
Yeah, and that's fine if the problem was that it wasn't powering up. But if I'm trying to fix a chassis that won't sync or has missing colors, it's kind of hard to do without a med-res pcb...
I guess I should have quoted the original poster, he was asking about it working or not. I know you can't properly fine tune the thing with the wrong resolution.
