OK, I have Zippy VM-P1F-00D0-Z Micro's, 120-150 gram operating force, never used. These were used to fill an order that were supposed to be 60 gram switches....

What are these good for? Well most of you would be fine using them for just about anything, but....you will feel some more resistance. These are the same micros shown here
http://www.jammaboards.com/store/zippy-microswitch-for-pushbuttons/prod_266.html

I can do these for 60% of the Jammaboards price, and I believe my shipping will be significantly cheaper. I have 100, if anyone buys 50 or more, shipping is free.
Here's the costs
1-9 10-24 25-99 100+
$0.95 $0.92 $0.90 $0.88 <-Jammaboards
$0.57 $0.55 $0.54 $0.52 <-Me,basically my cost, and yes I still had to pay for these!!! :(
I will ship anywhere in the US for $4.95, priority mail

I used the stiff switches I had for joysticks. It's not really noticeable on a joystick like it is on a button.

Mag stick plus joysticks use the stiff switches...they are horrible! One of these days I will get around to changing them out. My near 3 year old daughter can hardly get it to move left thanks to the stiff switch + the short throw.

I've never tried the magsticks. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a combination of the spring + switches. You might also want to try a lighter spring if they're replaceable like on Happs.

Joysticks have a mechanical advantage of almost 5:1, if you have issues of stiffness, it should not be the micros. At that mechanical advantage the force quired to activate would be comparable to the same weight as 3-4 quarters. I would not use these for highly repetitive pushbuttons. These are great for all other uses. Very high quality switches.

Magsticks use magnets, not springs, and if its that stiff something is wrong, mine were very light and smooth. One of my favorite sticks but so damn spendy (Minnesotan for expensive)
