Metallica remastered

Thats what people thought when CGC made remakes of AFM and MM. Didn't really depreciate the value of existing originals.

This will be a remaster tho. LCD screen & new software. It's gonna be better. From the same company too.

Saw a few LE owners on pinside a bit unhappy, mostly seems positive tho.

Playfield is said to be the same though correct? LCD doesn't do much for many pin heads. I think the change from incandescent to LED may have been a bigger impact for this title.

New songs & three new modes. Maybe more coming.

The iconic Lyman Sheats rule set has been carefully enhanced to add two new game modes based on Metallica's two most recent albums, last year's Grammy-winning 72 Seasons and 2016's Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, as well as a new "Blackened" Wizard Mode. The Metallica Remastered software also includes numerous refinements throughout and an enhanced illuminated insert array to support the new game rules while preserving the classic gameplay feel from the original

Sounds like a lot of fluff to me. With the new price of this pin vs. the MSRP of the original there should be a lot more. And am I correct thinking there is no PRO model? Not that its priced where it should be either. The Insider Connect bullshit skyrocketed pricing but added little to value in my opinion. And nearly all hardware got cheaper. Hinges instead of lever on lockdown bar. No more Roto lock for backbox. You now pay extra if you want the good playfield service rails. Cabinet decals are cheap as fuck. Most boards no longer have the option for through hole replacement components. Can't replace individual LED's ($1) now you need to replace an $80 sub board.

I dunno, it's cool if you missed out back in the day. Of course they are charging more, everything just goes up. The songs post justice suck but getting Hit the Lights is awesome.

They should do a Cliff LE that just features the first 3 albums. That would be something.

I had a Road Case premium, and I'm sick that I sold it. I made a down payment on thew new premium. I'm pumped!
