Looking to value a metal slug 4 "dedicated cabinet". I'm still a bit green with buying machines and don't really know much about single neo cabs. I haven't been able to look at it in person but the pics look very nice condition wise. I am assuming it's probably a 1 slot mvs with metal slug 4 cart and marquee. Looks like a 19" monitor in the pics. What would be a fair price?
The seller is liquidating a relatives business and he doesn't know much about this stuff, as a result another buyer got a mint punchout for really cheap. When the seller realized his error he priced everything up a bit more than looks right on a few things.

My rule of thumb these days is that any working older arcade game that is in at least okay shape and is even half way desirable is worth at least $500. They aren't making any more 19" raster CRT monitors and getting a clean working one with little to no tube burn can cost $200+ all by itself these days, depending on your local market. Also, Neo Geo MVS cabs have been on the rise in recent years. A Metal Slug 4 loose cart, a real one not a bootleg, ranges from $50 to $90 or so. I'd say $500-$600 depending on condition for a real Neo Geo 1-slot cab. Problem is, I believe all real Neo Geo 1-slot full upright cabs came with 25" monitors and not 19".

It's still a good place to start. If it was 5-6 years ago it would have been $200-$300.

Thanks for the input! I'm about 90% sure it's some sort of conversion with neo guts. I thought they had the 25" monitors as well, but I also can't find much info and have never seen a wild neo 1 slot (since i got into arcade stuff anyway) so i wasn't sure. It's in slick shape from what I can tell, but the local market here (rural idaho haha) is usually on the lower end price wise. But on the other hand you have to do alot of waiting for anything cool to pop up for sale..
