I am starting my first coin door refurb (progress pics tom'w). It is a Coinco. Good bit of rust/corrosion - especially on the plated metal that all of the wiring and mechanical bits bolt onto.
My question is this...once I clean and polish this (with naval jelly and my dremel/polishing agent, do I need to coat it with something to keep it from corroding again?
My initial thought is to spray the metal pieces with a light coat of clearcoat...wrong idea?
Thanks as always -
