Metal clips in flyback anode cup broke off...now what?

The metal ends were brittle and broke off as I was removing it from the tube. It's a k7000 series chassis installed in a 19" monitor. I'm able to clip what remains of the metal ends to the tube and I can hear the high voltage as it hits the monitor when I flip the switch, but it won't hold the charge and the monitor does not turn on. Do I need to replace the flyback or can something be done to lengthen the metal clip?

Replace the fly

I would just replace the flyback. I repaired one once and it worked for a bit, then broke off again after removing it a few times. Wasn't worth it in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply. How did you repair it? Once I get it to work, I won't be touching it again....lol...

On the one I had...

On the one I had, the clip broke off clean fro mthe wire, so I was able to solder it back on. If your clip is actually broken, you need to replace it. In fact, replacing it is really the only option.

I guess that replacing the flyback is the only option. Thanks for the help.
