Mesquite, TX SuperAuctions Dec 18

Hi TR.

Yes I got the prototype up and running Saturday morning. Turned out to be a transformer issue. I swapped a switcher in Saturday morning and it was rock solid the rest of the day.

Noel is usually at the auctions. He loads the games up there and stores them until he makes the Houston run.

I am hoping to get to the Simpson's monitor this weekend, it looks like it just needs a couple of new high voltage caps. I'll know for sure when I pull the chassis and drop the new caps in it.

Awesome, yeah I wasn't able to stay for very long this year had to be someplace totally un-fun.

How would one find Noel at the auction? Does he have a setup or a booth or something or is he on this forum?

Sweet on Simpsons, maybe if things work out I won't need to go at all :)

no he is always there though, just ask someone who he is, he is the guy that moves games for people

I'm in need of a 19" monitor. Anyone have one to sell pre-auction? Prefer minimal burn-in. You can have the MatsuSHITa plus $

DAMN BOSS WONT LET ME SWAP DAYS OFF.....!!!!!!! i want to go and check everything out... looking for a sega motorcycle game(can't think of its name). or just stuff to make projects out of if they go cheap. maybe i can get someone to send me pics of stuff and have them bid on it for me.... hummmmmmm damn boss!

I am probably going to show up for a bit. I won't be buying anything, but I was wondering if anybody going there might know of someone locally (who may even show up at the event) who works on Asteroids monitors.

I'm thinking about putting my cocktail in the back of the truck and seeing if anyone on site might be able to help me to get my monitor up and running. I have Y-Collapse issues which I still cannot figure out.

Anyone got some local names to look up for that?

You'd be surprised at how cheap you can find a game when you know where to look. If it didn't take up so much space and I didn't already have enough big ass machines I might have bought one of these for myself. Seriously though, this game shouldn't be too rich for anyone's blood.

Monitor repair

I think the garagearcade guy lives in dallas. I think that's the guy that has worked on some stuff for my buddy Nevus. Maybe he can help you with your asteroids problem.

I think I might be going to this since the little woman will be out of town. Not sure but I may just drive up the day of the auction if I go. It will also help make my decision easier if someone is there the night before and we get an idea of whats there.

not sure if im going, alot of irons in the fire!

any texas guys interested in a re-import deal?

Define re-import deal.

BTW. Send me a picture of the pinball CPU you are looking for. I have a box of Williams pinball CPUs that I need to go through. I finally cleaned the garage out and have some room to start working on the pins that have been gathering dust.
