Mesquite Auction Feb 26 - Still on?

Talked to a guy lastnight who was at the auction. He said the tales from the crypt pin didn't sell!! I was like WTF. I wanted that!! Im still sick over it.

People were bidding on the Tales from the Crypt, it got up to $1500 or more.
It may have been that the seller bought it back. Allot of times thats what people mean when they say it didn't sell.
Basically meaning the seller wants more than $1500.

Almost all good pins go for $1000 or more. There are too many resellers at the auction to let them go much cheaper than that.
Even that South Park pinball went for $1700. (or $2040 with Fees) Way to much for that one.

Keep in mind there are almost 20% in fees. So a $1500 pinball is really selling for $1800.

If I'm going to spend $1500+ on a pinball, I'll buy it from an individual seller.
Auctions are great for pinballs, IF you can get them cheap.

I believe the Tales and the Simpsons were both buy backs. I heard what I believe was the owner of the South Park say that he wanted $1800 or he would buy it back.

I was told that South Park was a buy back as well.

Guys,

Good luck getting a deal on a pin at the Dallas auction. It's the same jerk that brings the same truckload of pins each time. The tricky part of the deal is that Super Auctions never charged him any fees to bring those pins and buy them all back. He wants retail prices for them at an auction...

I'm sure the new auction guys are cutting him the same kind of deal. I don't see how it can be legal but that's what's going on...

Maybe this guy could somehow manage to get "lost" before the auction starts and all of his pins would sell for reasonable prices...

If he sells all of those, you better stay off 75 if you plan on getting those home. ;)

Anyone have any kind of list for what things sold for? I'm curious about maybe going to the next one as I've had all my stuff selling pretty good on Craigslist and may be ready to buy more by then.
