Megatouch: How to Disable/Remove TournaMaxx option?

I just recently upgraded my Megatouch Ruby to a Jade 2 harddrive and key. I want to disable the TournaMaxx option from showing up on the main menu, but can't figure it out. I've read through the manuals and looked at and played with all of the settings, but I still can't figure out how to make TournaMaxx option disappear from the main screen. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I don't know if you can make it go away, but you can disable it so it doesn't try to call in when someone touches it.

1) Go into Setup.

2) Go into System Settings.

3) Go into Tournamaxx

4) Touch the Active Time box to turn it off.

5) Exit.

You may see other options for eliminating it from the menu, but I doubt it. This is an advertising thing for them...

Yep, I came across that when I was fooling around with the settings, so at least it doesn't attempt to connect. But there must be a way to get the tournamaxx option off the menu.

Try calling Merit and asking them. I'll bet the only way is to downgrade...

I know for the FORCE 2007, Merit had 2 different security keys. One with and one without tourney. Could possibly be your problem too.

Dave.

Just wanted to provide everyone with an update. A KLOV'r suggested I boot up the machine with dip switches 4 and 7 turned on to reset the HDD to default settings and follow the onscreen instructions. It seems that it got rid of the TournaMaxx upgrade from the HDD. It also helped get rid of an error I was getting during boot up. Everything looks and works fine now. No more TournaMaxx option on the menu screen. It wiped out all the highscores and settings, so I just had to go through the settings again. No big deal.
