So I go to turn on my megatouch maxx the other night and all I get is a screen glow. Turned off and left for when I could take a look at it. Got a chance this morning and I thought the power supply could be at fault. I get voltage in but nothing out.

Then on one of the flips of the power switch it sounded like a fan got stuck and was hitting on something. No fans were moving so I quickly shut it off. Now when I turn it on I get a really high pitched beep that is at a very steady interval and there is no screen glow.

I have never worked on one of these. Can anyone help?

You need to see if the fan on the power supply is spinning when you turn it on. If not, you can bypass the "soft power switch" on the motherboard, by making a temporary jumper between the green wire on the power connector and the black wire right next to it. If it still won't come on, then the power supply is bad. if it does, then your motherboard has the problem, although only with the soft power switch, and you can leave the bypass in for that.

As for the "sounds like a fan was stuck", it sounds like either your hard drive crapped out from you flipping it on and off a bunch of times, or the fan on top of the processor on your motherboard is bad. The hard drive will need to be replaced if that is the issue. Bear in mind that if you boot up without a hard drive, you should still get the beginnings of a boot screen on the monitor until it fails to detect an operating system. The fan can be replaced more easily if it isn't spinning properly. It needs to keep the processor from overheating.

As for the beeping, that usually indicates a problem with the SIMM RAM card on the motherboard. You can try reseating it, or moving it to the other spot, but if it continues, then you may need to replace it.

Fan on power supply is not spinning. I jumpered the two wires and now the game boots up. The fan on the PS still dosen't come on. Of course I can't tell what it is doing becasue the monitor still won't show anything.

The ticking is coming from the monitor as far as I can tell. Could I have blown something on the monitor? I have zero neck glow.

Sounds like you blew the HOT on the monitor chassis. Probably time for a cap kit, too.

If you want to verify the game is up and running, you can plug a computer monitor into the VGA output from the motherboard, but you won't be able to play without the touchscreen. Well, you could probably touch the dead screen while looking at the other screen, and hope you touch the proper spots... :D

Can you direct me where I can find a manual for the CRT-500 Zeus Manual?
In particular need info on what dip switches do, Pinouts for connectors J1 J2 J3 J4.

Thanks Wes

1) You should really start a new thread for your issue, rather than tacking on to someone else's.

2) I've never heard of the Zeus. If it's not here, then you can try contacting them for help...
