Just added video so people will understand what Megatouch Hell is.

Alrighty then,
I pulled my HDD off my Maxx Jade and tried out a Ruby on it, but after I replaced the Jade the calibration was off. I recalibrated it but this is the crazy part. When I point to the center of the screen everything is good, but the farther out I go, the more out of calibration it is. When I go back into the center it get closer. It's like the screen is to big for the calibration settings.
Any help would be great.
Also, I know it's a setting or something cause I did the same thing to my other upright Maxx and it's doing the same thing. Can the screen size be changed some how? (Just babbling now)

Did you try a hardware detect. I believe it's dips 2 and 7 but I could be wrong. The merit website has the settings to do this. It would definitely be needed after swapping hds. Let me know if this works.

Thanks Matt
I did a little looking after your post and found out that the device reset is #6 and a complete wipe is #4 & #7. I did both and still have the same thing. spot on calibration in the center and it is more off the farther out I put my finger.

Sometimes on the older touchscreens you have to trick the game. Try on the calibration screen touching points away from the calibration marks. If you try enough you can sometimes figure out where to press on the screen to calibrate even though you aren't using the calibration points if this makes sense. Say if you use the calibration point and the game reads it as being further right than the mark you can press left of the calibration point to calibrate. Also make sure the touchscreen is clean especially around the frame. You may need to remove to cabinet cover to do it right.

Matt:
Not geeked about the Maxx being screwed up for some crazy reason, but I took your idea and ran with it. Not spot on, but very close to being "calibrated". Crazy idea you had....but worked great.
Thanks,
Bob

Glad I saw this post! I have a new hard drive on the way for an xl, and I would have been frustrated with another problem after I thought I finally fixed everything.

Yea, both of my Maxx units are doing this too, not quite as bad as the video but makes games like photo hunt very un-enjoyable. I haven't tried the "trick" calibration matt suggested, I'll have to see how that goes.
