Mega Touch

You can turn them off in the settings menu. I don't have mine in front of me, but look around, it's pretty easy to find.

There should be a small red momentary switch inside the case or behind the coin door (if it's a stand up) that will allow you to get into the menu to change that setting as well as calibrate the touch screen, volume control, etc.

Cool, I'll check that soon.

Also, I got it for my dad and know he loves some horse racing game or something that's on one of them but not this one. Any way to add it?

If you have if you have a Force upright LCD, that test button is behind the monitor. The whole monitor/bezel clam shells open off of the key in front.

About the games, you can upgrade megatouches with new hard drives. Every year, Merit added a few more games to the collection and called it a new release. There is doccumentation floating around the web on which collections contain which games. Merit doesn't support them anymore, but there's some information about upgrading if you search here. Post a picture of what model you have too. That'll help.

let it ride poker (horse racing game) was removed after 2007. As someone mentioned, knowing what version and model you have would make it easier to help you. Also, there is no easy way to add games back (trust me ive tried) The only way is to upgrade or downgrade to a version that has that game.

You have an XL. I honestly don't know if let it ride poker is on any version XL. It might be on Maxx versions, and i know it was on Force versions up to 2006. If i had to guess, i would say you need to upgrade to Maxx. And that requires software and hardware.

But showing a side panel sticker doesnt mean much since someone could have already upgraded if you had bought this megatouch second hand. I would need a picture of the setup menu. You need to press the red setup button behind the coin box to pull it up.

I guess the game we want is not "let it ride". It's called "horses" with actual horse racing or something. It's not a card game.

Edit: The horse racing card game is actually Race Poker. Some reason i thought it was let it ride. Anyway, i did some digging and apparently the Megatouch 5 had a game called "horses" I have no idea what version it got removed. I have never even played a Megatouch 5. I think the oldest version i played was a mame version of Megatouch 6.

I looked up manuals and I see Horses listed in the example for version 7. I couldn't find a version 8 after that so I don't know what the next machine was to follow its trail...

Here is the link to pictures I thought might be helpful and ones requested. I also included a video of a sound I can't figure out which my best guess is a bad hard drive. It's not any fan that I can see. I took a picture of what *might* be the hard drive...

I don't think that version has a hard drive. Most XL's run off the CD.I think that sound your talking about is a fan on its way out. Possibly the cpu fan. Try and unplug the cpu fan real quick while its running and see if the sound goes away. Just dont run it too long without the fan or the cpu might overheat.
