im looking for a med. resolution monitor but cant find one, or they are mega expensive. Is there a way to convert the game to play on a standard resolution monitor? Its paperboy.

What's wrong with the old chassis? Why can't it be fixed?

No, you can't convert a standard chassis to play in a medium game. You CAN buy a new medium-res universal chassis from Alva Amusement to work in your Paperboy with the existing chassis and yoke....

the problem is there is no tube to or chassis to begin with. thats why I ask. someone took out both, which makes me think that buying this paparboy to begin with may be a bad idea. however, there arent too many being sold around my parts so its worth trying to fix.

The your best bet is to find someone with a working med-res and have them get you yoke readings (to determine whether it is low or high impedance). The find a cheap or free 19" TV with a good tube (unbroken) and make sure the yoke impedance matches what you need, then call Alva Amusement with the impedance type, neck width, and pin count, tell them you need it for EGA, connect it to the TV tube and yoke. find a monitor frame to mount it all in. Done....

Why didn't you buy Aaron's APB and use that monitor for your Paperboy? I thought you guys were doing that exchange.

I hope he still wants to do that exchange. I received alot of stuff with this deal. Double Dragon, NBA Jam, ESWAT, and some red tent PCBs, a bunch of monitor chassis, 4 tubes with chassis... even a space invaders cocktail.
