So my buddy picked up a pair of Atari Rush sit downs and one had odd colors but we realized soon after a few hours of failed adjusting that there's something wrong with the tube. So we're trying to figure out what to use for a tube swap. The monitor is a 27" medium res neotec 27-E. The suspect tube is a Zenith A68AGD01X. I know it uses a CR-23 neck adapter if that's any cancellation. The chassis has been recapped and we replaced the flyback so only the tube is left.

Any help would be amazing at this point as he's trying to sell these to afford his mortgage.

The Zenith tubes in those are notorious for color guns having issues.

About the only thing you could try on the old tube is to rejuvinate it if someone has the proper equipment handy. (a crt tester/rejuvinator)

If you go looking for another tube to replace that one with, the "A68" designates the tube size, so that is the first thing to look for. But you will have to look up the rest of the tube numbers on the new tube in order to know if it is a CR-23.

before you swap it try a rejuve.

i had a 7500 in a blitz looked awful and after a rejuve it looked fabulous.

Thanks for the replies. I have access to a B&K 460 rejuv. Or should I pick up a sencore cr-70?

Will keep a look out for Sharp TVs.

and, based on what i learned in my thread, if you do replace the tube, keep the yoke off of the current med res tube, you may need it.
